Brandy McCallum-Martin
Brandy McCallum-Martin, the driving force behind Hues of Hospitality, has been a passionate advocate for the hospitality industry since 2009. Her career began on the front lines at Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, where she quickly became known for her calm leadership and ability to create seamless guest experiences.
As she progressed into special events, Brandy contributed to the successful execution of high-profile programs, including hospitality coordination for the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational, delivering exceptional experiences for VIP guests and stakeholders. These hands-on roles allowed her to develop a deep understanding of what it takes to create memorable experiences in high-stakes environments.
During her tenure leading the MGM Resorts International African American Employee Networking Group, Brandy discovered her passion for building spaces where individuals could connect, share, and grow together — not through formal mentorship, but through real conversations, shared experiences, and access to information often locked behind closed doors.
Bringing that vision home to Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brandy founded Hues of Hospitality — a first-of-its-kind community designed to bridge gaps, spark connections, and create opportunities that might not exist otherwise. Hues of Hospitality is about helping professionals "connect the dots you can’t always see" — providing access, resources, and authentic relationships that foster growth and belonging in the hospitality and tourism industry.
